Dr. Trevor Bopp
Trevor Bopp, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management at The University of Alabama (UA). His primary research focuses on the influence of race and identity on access, opportunities, and experiences across the sport and physical activity landscape. Additionally, he works toward positive scholarly and practitioner impacts in student-athlete and sport-based youth development.
Dr. Bopp has authored peer-reviewed manuscripts in high impact scientific journals such as the Journal of Sport Management and Sport Management Review. In 2021, he was named a North American Society for Sport Management Research Fellow.
Prior to joining UA, Dr. Bopp was a faculty member in the Department of Sport Management at the University of Florida (UF). He is a double Gator, having earned both his Master of Science degree in Sport Management and PhD in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Sport Management from UF. He earned a second Master of Science degree in Business Technology from Marymount University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington.
